About Jesus Rock Legends

This site is to honor those that went out into unknown lands, so that we may enjoy good music with lyrics filled with God’s truth. They were sometimes controversial, sometimes outspoken, usually new immature Christians but wanted to show love and truth of the transformation of Jesus to a dying world. The folks that now “allow” you to listen to everything from Steven Curtis Chapman to POD are all but forgotten. While our “secular counterparts” celebrate their musicians “CCM” or “Contemporary Christian Music” have all but forgotten where it all started. This site wants to tell those forgotten artists….Thank You

Thanks For Stopping By!

hi….i am a member of the “Jesus Music” Yahoo group (tarzantheman1978, there) and I heard about this from there. I just wanted you to know that I have found it interesting, and to tell you to keep up the good work. 4. Jesus Music,Christian Rock,Gospel Rock orwhatever name you call it.A rose smells as sweet no matter what you call it began to enrich and influence the lives of Mike (husband of 34 yrs.) and myself beginning with our conversion to the Lord Jesus in 75.Our first Jesus album was lent by the precious bro.who introduced us to our Lord.’The Everlasting Everliving Something-can’t remrmber rest of title.’And we actualy Had Bro.Larry Norman (RIP) on eight track. There are so many but resurection band(before they called it REZ) so stands out.we don’t live far from JPUSA in Chi-Town so we visited and we had them in our town-Kewanee twice. And through Glen’preaching many were saved. We also love Servant. Thanks for a frip down memory lane.Diane of Kewanee.

  5. I just wanted to say thanks for creating such a great site! I have a Christian radio station on Live365 called “Jesus Music & Beyond” and I’m trying to play the old classics with the newer artist. Sadly, most of my early “Jesus” music is either on vinyl or cassette. That included Michael Omartian’s White Horse/Adam Again. I tried transferring from cassette to digital and the quality was…….well lousy! And I could not find it anywhere on CD or MP3……………..until now! You are a God send! God Bless you and keep up the good work!

  6. I just discovered this blog. Very nice. I would love your feedback on mine as well. I am working through the Top 50 best and most important albums in Christian Music history. It’s not limited to Jesus Music but a good chunk of titles come from that era. A recent entry is the debut by Love Song and would love some testimonial feedback from fans as to what that album meant to people.
